The Curse of eBay?

Wow. Lately all my shipments have been coming in VERY VERY VERY slowly. I ordered two packs of 4 NiMh rechargable batteries on the 4th and didn't receive anything till well over a week later. When I opened the package... one pack of batteries. I e-mailed auction-fullfillment (ironic name.. because they didn't fulfill my order) and they promptly replied:

"Sorry Phi, we'll get another one going to you..."

I e-mailed two days later requesting tracking number. Nothing. Whats going on here? I paid 22 bucks for the fucking batteries.. and I WANT THEM.

Then, a day later I "accidently" won a Zenitar 16mm fisheye lens. The auction stated.. "For Canon EOS, manual aperture. Brand new, multicoated, with case, with filters, with front cap, with manual, in box." I opened the package today to only find the lens.. PERIOD. What the hell?

Am I just asking to get ripped off or something? Both of these fools are going to receive negative feedbacks if I don't get the problem resolved soon. I just don't know whats up anymore. The third/fourth auctions that I have won in the past week haven't even sent their items or contacted me at all yet. Just to put things into perspective, I paid each auction ON THE DAY OF it ending.

I'm just really pissed right now. These people need to get their fucking act together.

Fuck eBay.

Actually, there are things about Amazon that still really piss me off. They're still very secretive about their customer service number, which is really embarassing for a company to do when they claim to have GREAT customer service, but on my order they said it would be delayed and it actually arrived ahead of time. Whether or not it was from my calling in and complaining, we'll never really know, but it made me feel better to know I didn't have to deny the package from arriving at my door.

These eBay mother fuckers, on the other hand, royally ripped me off. I ordered 2 items from a dutch from one, and they said they'd send out the second one ASAP .. SORRY SORRY SORRY! I emailed again 3 times during the course of the week for a tracking number and never really received any response. I got one a couple of days ago saying that they were "out of town". The other auction is more of principle than anything else. The lens is sharp and clean, but the auction stated the items that I probably won't even use.. the fact is.. it was listed and it will probably help resale value. It makes me semi-angry that it wasn't sent.

Anyway.. Amazon made up for their BULLSHIT in my book by getting me the MP3 player on time, then shipping me another one on the day of me saying I would send mine back (and providing shipping back) when my MP3 player broke. So its all gravy. smiles
