Cal State Long Beach CN

April 9, 2004 - 11:06 PM

I traveled over to Long Beach with Loc and watched/photographed CSULB's Vietnamese Culture Night. The entire show was pretty good.. there were only a couple of little mistakes that didn't really bother me. The photography went by pretty well. I shot at a pretty high ISO because it was dark and tested out two flashes, which probably did more bad than it did good.

I think I caused some weird shadows to go on, or the 2nd flash didn't help that much at all. The stupid people at the theatre were tripping out on me and loc bringing our "tripods" into the theatre.. MONOPOD fools!

Anyway.. I think I'm starting to hate Jewish people.. grr..

Blah.. More on that later.

Enjoy the pictures kids..

grin If any cute ladies want to e-mail me and congratulate me on my good job taking pics of them.. grin feel free.. LOL

Anything that blocks the walkway is violating the firecode. How does a monopod obstruct anyone more than say, a cane or a purse? I don't bring tripods because I know the firecode. Monopods are made specifically for situations where a tripod is not viable or allowed.

I guess you shouldn't let big or overweight people into the theatre either, then. During a fire, they'll panic and obstruct people from moving around in the walkway. Please. The fact is, code is code. If you're going to come down on people for bringing monopods, why even allow ONE tripod. (I saw two there). So you're willing to bend over backwards and break the code twice with hunky tripods with 8lb cameras on them in the middle of the aisles, but not light weight sub 16oz monopods which are pretty much chained to my neck when attached to the cam? Come on..

Give me a break. The fact is, if a fire were to occur and my monopod were off cam, I could just kick it under the seat and bail with my equipment. Its one freaking leg. If you're not going to allow monopods, I want to see people who are overweight, crippled, handicap, and whatever.. not allowed to enter the theatre either.
